Helsinki, Finland, June 8, 2025— Over 5,200 Spirit-empowered believers from 97 nations gathered from June 4 to 7 for the “Go and Make” Pentecostal World Conference (PWC), a global summit celebrating the power, unity, and mission of Pentecostal Christianity in the 21st century. The event, held in collaboration with the Pentecostal Church of Finland and Empowered21 (E21), culminated in The Send Helsinki—a bold call to action that ignited a new generation of missionaries, evangelists, and marketplace leaders committed to Spirit-empowered global transformation.
Held at the iconic Helsinki Ice Hall, the conference theme, "Go and Make,” (Matthew 28:19) was chosen to support and expand the Great Commission. The event drew a global coalition of Pentecostal leaders, mission strategists, worship artists, and emerging voices for a unified gathering focused on spiritual renewal and global impact.
Conference Speakers and Worship Artists
The conference featured keynote addresses from internationally renowned leaders, including:
Internationally acclaimed worship teams, including Upperroom, ORU Worship, Lindy and the Circuit Riders, and local Finnish worship collectives, led the global congregation in praising and worshiping God. Powerful moments of spontaneous prayer, intercession for the nations, and testimonies of healing and salvation underscored the Holy Spirit’s active work during the conference.
Dr. Wilson emphasized the profound spiritual and global significance of the gathering, saying, “This conference marks a pivotal moment in history, where nations unite not just in fellowship but are empowered by the Holy Spirit to finish the Great Commission. In a divided world, the global Pentecostal family stands as one: bold, compassionate, and empowered, to bring the hope of Jesus to everyone.”
Themes: Discipleship, Strategy, and Evangelism
Organized around the daily themes of “The Man, The Message, and The Method,” the conference aimed to inspire passion, provide practical leadership tools, and commission attendees for Spirit-empowered ministry worldwide. Throughout the week, Helsinki became a vibrant hub of worship, teaching, and prayer, with multilingual sessions and shared spiritual experiences. To further expand the growing Spirit-empowered movement, Christian leaders, missionaries, and ministry innovators from across the globe convened for a series of high-impact panel discussions and breakout forums focused on advancing the Gospel in today’s rapidly shifting cultural landscape.
Sessions explored key themes, including:
Guided by a shared sense of urgency, participants engaged in thought-provoking dialogue around practical solutions, local and global impact, and the future of missions in the 21st century.
Building on the global conversation started in Amsterdam in 2023, the movement's strategies for the coming years continue to focus on collaborative evangelism, unity of mission, and experiential living.
PWF Vice-Chair David Wells noted, “The conference provided a great opportunity for the Spirit- empowered community to encounter a prophetic synergy of how the Holy Spirit is aligning the Body of Christ to fulfill the Great Commission.”
PWF Leadership Appointments and Future Plans
During the conference, the newly appointed Executive and Advisory Committees were officially installed. Arto Hämäläinen, a well-known Finnish Pentecostal leader, led the prayer of installation. The PWF Advisory Committee chose Manila, Philippines as the site of the 28th Pentecostal World Conference, to be held November 1 – 3, 2028. Affirming the importance of this season, Wilson asserted, “A vibrant movement is emerging destined to impact the nations. We are seeing a generation deeply devoted—not merely to discussing the Gospel—but to living it authentically, proclaiming it courageously, and taking its transformative power to the ends of the earth.”
Collaborative Partners
Empowered21 continued driving global conversations inspiring transformation and unity through the Global Council, Global Evangelists Alliance (GEA), the Global Network of Spirit-Empowered Scholars (GNSES), NextGen, and the Global Prayer Alliance. The conference included a live broadcast with Brian Alarid, Chair of the Global Prayer Initiative, and Vice Chair Jason Hubbard, sharing messages inspiring a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit and a renewed passion for evangelism.
On June 7, the momentum from the PWC surged into The Send Helsinki— a catalytic day-long experience combining worship, testimonies, and altar calls. The Send successfully shifted believers from passive attendance to active mission, igniting a movement of passionate evangelism and service.
Empowered for the Mission
This year's PWC stands as a spiritual milestone—an embodiment of the growing momentum of the Spirit-empowered movement across the globe. As the conference concluded, leaders emphasized that this was not an end, but a new beginning. Plans are already underway for follow-up initiatives in Europe, Africa, Asia, North and South America, while local churches in Finland are preparing for a sustained season of outreach and discipleship.
PWF Executive Committee member Marek Kaminski (Chair of the Pentecostal European Fellowship) stated, “The Pentecostal World Conference in Helsinki, Finland was amazing. Anything you can name or expect was there: worship, powerful messages, inspiring fellowship with men and women of God, a great program. I came with an open heart to allow God to transform my life. I feel I received a lot, even more than expected.”
